A new service to get you verification-ready. Powered by our biggest product release yet.
30 Jul 2026
CBAMBOO today announces a verification readiness service for CBAM operators, powered by the biggest update yet to the CBAMBOO Platform.
The world's biggest producers of steel, aluminium, fertiliser and cement all have a common problem. EU CBAM requires them to achieve verified emissions data by early 2027. Without verification, their products will face a default value penalty on every shipment.
At CBAMBOO, our mission is to make CBAM work for suppliers and importers. Verification is tough — but it's crucial to a world where producers see the full financial benefit of their investment in low-carbon technologies. We're here to help.
Why is getting verified so hard?
CBAM data is only legally valid once an accredited third-party verifier has signed it off. The verifier will look to one key document, the Monitoring Plan. It is a site-specific document that defines how an installation measures its emissions: every source stream, every meter, every calculation, recorded and structured to EU methodology standards.
A plan built from a template will not pass a CBAM audit. Verifiers will check emissions report against it, and if the plan does not reflect what is actually on the ground, verification will fail. EU buyers will be pushed back to default values, and the cost could land on supplier-customer relationships.
CBAMBOO comes to your production site
We start where your emissions start: on the factory floor.
Our specialists travel to your installation — anywhere in the world — and spend time tracing source streams, checking meters, and understanding how your production actually runs.
We map every emissions-relevant component alongside your team and build the plan from what is actually there, not from a questionnaire or a form.
This is hard work, but we do it with you. The result is verification-grade documentation, in the shape a verifier expects.
The service covers the full road to verification across three stages:
1. Build the monitoring plan Our specialists visit your site, walk the installation with your team, and map every relevant component. Where you have existing work — ISO management systems, active greenhouse-gas reporting — we take that into account. The plan is built from the facts on the ground.
2. Produce the annual emissions report The CBAMBOO Platform helps you collect and calculate data throughout the year to the EU methodology. Every year, you build on existing data to update your figures, and our experts are on hand to guide you.
3. Pass verification We prepare you for the third-party audit and ensure you have the right data infrastructure for yearly sign-offs. We stay by your side until verifier approval, and the Platform lets you share verified statements directly with your customers year after year.
The CBAMBOO Platform for operators
Our new service is backed by the most significant platform update we have ever shipped.
Every installation in one workspace
Operators can now manage all their production sites from a single dashboard. Each installation shows its current reporting status and a CBAM readiness score, giving plant teams a site-by-site view while head office maintains the complete picture across the portfolio.
Map your installation as it really is
The centrepiece of the update is a new process diagram tool. Operators build a visual map of their site — the fuels, raw materials and precursors coming in, the production processes involved, and the final CBAM goods shipped. The diagram becomes the structural backbone of the Monitoring Plan, ensuring nothing is double-counted and that emission figures accurately reflect the installation's actual configuration.
Your Monitoring Plan, section by section
Once the installation is mapped, operators work through the requirements step by step:
- A. About — installation identity and responsible parties
- B. Installation — physical description and system boundary
- C. Production processes — each process covered under CBAM
- D. Source streams & emission sources — every input combusted or consumed, and every emission point
- E. Precursors & suppliers — upstream embedded emissions, with supplier data connected directly on the platform
- F. Energy & material flows — fuel and material balances across the installation
- G. Goods — the CBAM goods produced and their system boundaries
- H. Monitoring methods — how each source stream is measured and calculated
- I. Level justifications — the EU tier levels applied and their rationale
- J. Data quality & controls — the management systems and controls that underpin the data
The platform provides guidance at each stage, prompts for supporting evidence, and maintains full version history across the document. Every required field is validated before the plan can be finalised.
Every aspect of the Monitoring Plan requirements has been cross-checked by our expert team against the latest CBAM legislation.
Verifier-ready documents, on demand
The finalised Monitoring Plan and annual emissions reports are produced as immutable PDFs, complete with attachments, version history, and the installation diagram, formatted to verifier expectations and ready to file. Operators can also share data and documents directly with customers or verifiers through the platform.
