Introducing CBAMBOO Pro
8 Jul 2025
CBAMBOO today announces the launch of CBAMBOO Pro, a comprehensive platform upgrade that moves beyond regulatory compliance to help importers actively manage and reduce their CBAM costs. While the transitional period has focused on reporting obligations, the definitive period beginning 1 January 2026 will require importers to purchase and surrender CBAM certificates — making cost management, not just compliance, the central challenge. CBAMBOO Pro is designed to address this head-on.
CBAMBOO Pro introduces four key capabilities. First, purchase order-level tracking allows importers to see their CBAM exposure for every individual shipment, not just at an aggregate level. Second, an integrated supply chain data collection workflow makes it straightforward to request, receive, and validate actual emissions data from non-EU suppliers — replacing the need for manual spreadsheets and email chains. Third, the platform now generates XML reports that are compatible with the EU's CBAM registry, enabling direct submission without reformatting or re-entry. Fourth, a certificate planning tool helps importers forecast their certificate requirements and optimise their purchasing strategy based on projected emissions and carbon price movements.
Together, these features represent a step change in how organisations can approach CBAM. Rather than treating it as a pure compliance exercise — something to be endured — CBAMBOO Pro gives importers the visibility and tools to treat CBAM as a manageable cost line. For traders who pass CBAM costs through to their customers, the platform provides the granular data needed to do so accurately and transparently.
CBAMBOO Pro is available immediately to all existing and new customers. Organisations currently on the CBAMBOO platform will be migrated automatically, with no disruption to their existing data or reporting. For more information or to request a demonstration, visit cbamboo.com.
